After a few years absence we are proud to announce the return of the EXTREME SPORTS shop trip.This time, as we are all getting a little older and maybe wiser,we have decided to go upmarket with a fully catered chalethotel in Courchevel .
Les Avals boasts an enviable location in the heart of Courchevel 1650, just across the road from the main telecabine and with all the local shops on hand. It is full most weeks with returning guests who have come to enjoy its unique ambience. All rooms are en-suite with balcony and those on the back benefiting from fantastic views down the valley. The dining room is large enough to sit all guests and staff around tables of 12 and there is a comfortable upstairs lounge in which to relax. Its location allows easy access to the massive Three Valleys ski area, and the exciting atmosphere both in the chalethotel and the village promises a good time.
The hotel is home to Rocky’s Bar, one of the most popular and lively bars in Courchevel 1650. With satellite TV and daily happy hours it boasts live music on certain nights of the week and a large terrace where you can enjoy snacks and drinks.
As part of the massive Three Valleys, the friendly atmosphere and compact nature of Courchevel 1650 means that it is fast becoming more popular than its more fashionable and expensive neighbour just up the slopes of Courchevel 1850. If you would like the opportunity to do a bit of people watching in 1850 all the Courchevel resorts are linked by a free Resort bus service.
In addition to the world-renowned skiing to be found throughout the Three Valleys linked ski area, Courchevel 1650 features a good variety of restaurants, bars, and shops along the main street of the village, including our famous Rocky's Bar in Chalethotel Les Avals.
If you are interested in ski or snowboard lessons, it is now possible to book online with New Generation, one of our partner ski schools in resort.
Children and beginner skiers are well catered for with nursery areas situated at the bottom of the slopes in 1650 and groomed wide and cruisy blue runs. With a superb lift system Courchevel offers great skiing opportunities for the intermediate skier from leisurely blues to trickier red runs. Experts are well catered for with a choice of challenging on and off-piste runs, and the area is fantastic for snowboarders, from those first few linking turns to confidently trying new tricks in the snowpark above 1850.

Breakfast
To get you started every morning we provide a hearty buffet of cereals, fresh French bread and jams, boiled eggs, porridge, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, tea, and coffee. On six mornings there is also a cooked option to choose from, such as bacon or sausage with scrambled eggs.
Afternoon Tea
On your return from the slopes every day a delicious afternoon tea is provided of freshly baked cakes, bread and jams, and tea or coffee.
Evening Meal
On six evenings you will enjoy a wonderful three course evening meal accompanied by regional table wine. On the festive last evening of the week the meal is followed by a delicious and varied cheeseboard of local specialities and complimentary port.
